My journey as a fitness instructor began more than eleven years ago when I received my group fitness certification. That one decision changed the course of my career and launched me in a direction that has been nothing but rewarding. I have taught everything from Silver Sneakers Yoga to Bootcamp. I have more than a dozen fitness certifications, including personal training and pilates. I would say I'm passionate about movement and fascinated with the mechanics of the body. I also love to help others. I aspire to help people meet their fitness goals, achieve better movement patterns and reduce or resolve pain issues due to poor biomechanics. Having been a Pilates teacher for about 9 years I have seen some amazing results through the program. I have worked with clients with hip replacements, knee replacements, all types of shoulder injuries (pre and post op), foot reconstruction, spinal fusions, severe scoliosis, and the list goes on and on………..and pilates more specifically the Reformer has been the one piece of equipment that has never failed to achieve results. It amazes me every day how brilliant Joseph Pilates was and how amazing the Pilates program is.

Fitness wasn’t always my passion but once I got hooked, there was no looking back. Through the years I have gone from being overweight with low self esteem to looking good, feeling good, feeling strong and self esteem through the roof.
Along the way I have met some incredible people who are dedicated, knowledgeable, devoted, and invested in the people they train. I knew I wanted to be that person for other people. My desire to make genuine connections with people has always been strong and I also felt this would help me in becoming an instructor. So when one of my best friends, who happens to be a Pilates instructor, suggested I get certified, I hesitated and I was scared. Nevertheless, I took the leap and with the help of two amazing people alongside me, cheering me on I got my certification.
My favorite thing is when I hear somebody tell me they enjoyed my class. Because if you don’t enjoy it, why do it? I want to challenge you not defeat you. I am here to lift you up.

When I started taking pilates classes, I was so excited to have found a perfect fit! As a former dancer, I love how Pilates not only improves core and overall strength, body awareness, balance and flexibility, but also provides challenges to move safely, beyond our comfort zone. That is where growth is found.
I have been a Registered Dietitian and personal trainer for over 15 years and have always had a true passion for helping people stay healthy, fit and strong. I believe we are all able to improve our health and wellness starting from where we are. Having received Pilates training through Balanced Body, I have been given the privilege of expanding my knowledge base and passing these amazing Pilates principles to others; and getting to see the results!

Being a food lover, and not a sports enthusiast, I had always struggled with my weight. It all changed during the pandemic when I was forced to stay home during lock down. Without access to a variety of restaurants and food, I started losing weight. I lost about 100lbs through dieting. However, i did not feel healthy & strong. My mom, who has been doing pilates for the longest time finally convinced me to join her in one of her classes and I was hooked from the get go!
After a year of taking pilates group classes, I decided to go for the certification. I love how pilates is low impact, targets small muscle group, continuously burning fat & building muscles even after the workout! Combined with proper breathing techniques, it really increases your awareness of your body. I finally found the perfect exercise for me, and I’m in my best form yet!
